A Brush with Casualty

 This is an absolute gem of a blog starter for you. You may find this tale distressing and it may leave you emotionally scarred.. but we don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story here at gorjuss.co.uk so here we go…… I shall set the scene….

Chapter 1. The Brush Off

It was the dark early hours of the afternoon Sunday 19th of Ocotober… Suzanne shook herself into the dull afternoon glow from the window. Bird song could not be heard from the window due to the weekly anual Orange Walk parade, she wiped her eyes out of her sleep and trumpeted loudly at MR G. to fix her breakfast (she is a diva).

She started what she thought would be the regular morning routine, unaware of the dire horror she was about to endure…

The bathroom was glowing in its mouldy whiteness, Suzanne waded her way through the ruins left by little Suzette’s to the sink. We have the smallest sink in the world…this is not made up.. it utterly true.  The only thing you could bathe in our sink is baby toes… and one at a time.

She turned the cold tap on slowly, it groaned and rattled before spewing forth a yellowy liquid, Scottish water has improved immensley over the years.  It went clear after a record 2 minutes.  She reached for the toothbrush and toothpaste.. (generic brand recomended by Dentists).  She applied a small pea ammount of paste to her brush and set about brushing.  Up and Down, Left and right… round and round…. up and down. Suzanne decided to step off the trampoline and actually brush her teeth.

She finished brushing and rinsed her mouth out with a cup of warm yellowish water……..she spat.

Then the pain came, like a javolin lodged in the back of her head…… she yelped with pain, after a few hours Mr. G. came to see what the commotion was about…

Suzanne made the universal sign for “AAAAAAAAAAAH somethings wrong in my mouth”, Mr G pulled out his magnifying glass and torch to investigate……

Suzanne opened her mouth, and Mr G. pointed the torch into the darkness of Suzanne’s mouth…….and there it was…….

PREPARATIONS

We are deep into our preparations for this weekends Made In The Shade event, the orders from the last week are made and ready to ship in the morning and we have made extras to help fill the table this weekend.

Suzanne will be there Sketching away, I tried to convince her to sketch to order for a fee, she said she couldn’t handle that pressure!!  I’ll see if we can bring some sketches to sell…  So we will have Keychains, Buttons, Bottle Openers, Canvas Wraps, Semi-gloss prints, bookmarks, Calendars, trinket boxes, and anything else I can find this week….

BUSY WEEK

Its been a busy week while we were away, a lot of orders built up and its clear that Christmas shopping is starting, we want to make sure that everyone has a great experience when they order from gorjuss art. We expect quite a rush in the run up to Christmas and with planned advertising in Homes & Interiors Scotland magazine, it could be a whole world of extra work.  We are fully confident that we can meet the demands and give the quality products we strive to give.
