A new Week

By on 9-15-2008 in Gorjuss Products, Ramblings

Good evening Excuse my absense last night as I had to go fix a computer keeping me out till after 1am.

Happy to say that it is working fine now, and I am back tonight.

Gorjuss Calendar

Tonight Suzanne and I have been costing producing a calendar for 2009, it look like the price may be around $30.Β  What do you think? Is that a good price, we obviously have more work to do on this… so I will keep you all posted. It will comprise of 12 large images for each month with US and UK holidays marked on it.Β  It looks to be great quality… we will get a sample and then see where it goes from there..

SUZANNE Update

Suzanne is now over the cold that she brought home from the hospital, and is not looking forward to physio to help her walking etc… two weeks away. Fortunately she has been working hard to get these muscles working, and the pain has almost gone from her back, just a little disscomfort from the wound which is healing very nicely.

I will be back tommorrow, possibly late as I have another repair job to visit… Suzanne may blog for you tommorrow if she’s feeling up to it..

  1. cool idea with the calendar, maybe a bit steep for me tho, have you looked at different sizes, like the long ones that would have smaller pics at the top? just an idea lol

nice to hear suzannes doin better and her pains not as bad as it was πŸ™‚

    hugs to all

ps grant who let u lose on their poota?

  2. a calendar is a great idea, but for me would be expensive
ia m glad to hear about Suzanne’s improvement and step by step is getting normal again
big hugs for you and have a nice week

  3. I think a calendar would be awesome!!! But, like others have commented, $30 is a bit too much for me. I usually won’t pay much more than $15 for a calendar…just to give you an idea.

Glad to hear that Suzanne is doing better and I hope that she improves a lot before starting therapy. πŸ™‚

  4. I Think price is fine..but also agree maybe different sizes maybe with different prices

    bug hugs to you both

    lorna xx

  5. l was glad to hear Suzanne was home when l myself came home from hospital after a 4 day stay.

Suzanne please take care dont over do it.

l love the calender idea, our exchange rate will how ever stop me from buying it, 30 pound is about 64 dollars here in Australia. Thats okay some of suzanne’s prints are within my budget.

    Hugs lee

  6. I love the idea of a Woolcott Calendar – as most have said though – the price is a bit steep. It cant hurt to give it a go to see how the outcome is though?
Hoping that therapy is good to you Suzanne. I had to go through that a bit and it did do a lot for me – but another accident happened so that came to an abrupt stop… but the physical therapy was a lot better than I had imagined it to be. Hopefully, you will a great outcome from it too.
If they hurt you- bite them !
Hugs to all of you and I hope you have a fantastic rest of the day/evening etc. πŸ™‚ TammyJo

  7. I think the calendar is a fantastic idea. For me, the price is ok, but maybe make it at $25 or something, so people might be able to enjoy it more. Or perhaps you could do a calendar that has one main image and then tear off pages at the bottom, for the months as they go by? That way we still get a Gorjuss image and a calendar. Something to think of…

    Hugs

  8. I know the kind you mean, I really wanted a retail quality calender… and they do cost a little more, I did mean $30 usd including shipping. Its a very close profit/loss on this item due to its cost.

We are trying to get a GOOD deal on it for us all…

  9. Just catching up here. Thank goodness Suzanne’s cold didn’t last. That’s just no fun when you’re determined to get going again. So glad she continues to improve.

The calendar does seem a bit more reasonably priced when you include shipping in that total.

And being as it would be a collector’s item anyway, I can definitely see myself saving my pennies just for such a treasure.

Have a Gorjuss day! Gentle hugs all around!

  10. I think so too — with the shipping included πŸ™‚ It would make a lovely gift for SW fans πŸ™‚

  11. Love the calendar idea…could Canadian holidays be included too? Maybe a suggestion would be to make full sized calendars but also desktop calendars for a bit cheaper. Glad Suzanne is moving around. Colds seem to be hitting everyone this time of year…I have one, my boyfriend has one and our 5 kids do too. Seems as soon as they go back to school, we’re all sick!

  12. I think a calendar would be awesome! I think one of those page a day ones would be so cool. πŸ™‚ Or like someone suggested one that hangs on the wall with the tear off days. I don’t usually spend more than $10 – $15 on a calendar though. I often get some at a discount store for a couple of bucks. For next year I got one of those page a day ones with Maxine on it. But if there were a SW calendar I’d buy it to put on my wall some place where I could save all the months to have 12 prints to hang up. πŸ™‚ I understand the whole profit and loss thing and understand how you can only go so low. As long as the calendar isn’t much more than $30 I might still get it. After all if you think about it, if it’s one of those 12 month calendars (or even a 16 month calendar) it’s like having 12 prints for that price. When you think of it that way, it’s a super good deal. πŸ™‚

Suzanne, I hope that you are taking it easy and don’t overdo things. **hugs**

  13. I think the calendar idea is good and with the shipping included in the price it is pretty reasonable but i am a cheap skate lol.

  14. Hi there again ! Reading robynhearts input there- she has a point. No matter what price it is – a Gorjuss type fan is going to purchase it ….Even if they have to turn in soda bottles lol….. I do hope you will have a great turnout on it ….. If one figures print cost ( prints for sale ) – it is cheaper than purchasing each print. I guess Im changing my mind about it being too expensive. I’m starting to put pennies aside so when it comes out- I’ll be able to get it .
Hoping everyone in the Woolcott household is feeling well !! Hugs and Prayers always,
    TammyJo

  15. mmm i have not seen that way, but you have a great point, would be cheaper than buying every single print. πŸ™‚

  16. So glad Suzanne is feeling better! Big hug to her and all your family!
    All the best!
    Christina

  17. A Calendar is a GREAT Idea.
I work for a printing company and we have a press that we may be able to give you a better price and you will have a fantastic looking calendar to sell. If you want me to quote a calendar for you let me know. The only problem may be shipping. But we have great prices.
PS – I am not a sales rep for the Company just a CSR.! LOL

  18. Just popping in to see how everyone is doing. Trying to be extra nice here at home so I can get a boost on my Christmas money so I can get that calendar. XD Haven’t even seen it and yet I’m anxious already.

I hope that all is going smoothly for the whole Woolcott family. Gentle hugs!

  19. OMG!!!! SUZ i love the new print!!!!

    big hugs
    hope all is well

  20. Me again ! Just peeking in to see how you are all doing. I hope things are going smoothly for you today.
Note to Belem …. yes indeed- although not the exact same as owning each print- it would be nice to have Suzanne’s art on each month of the calendar. ( I’m still going to buy all the prints- not at one time mind you lol but eventually – I will have them all πŸ˜‰ Hugs to you Suzanne, you aren’t overdoing , are you ?
Thanks Grant for keeping Gorjuss Fans all around the world updated with Suzanne’s health and the news of what is coming in the future.
    Hugs to you also….
And to the wee ones !
    TammyJo πŸ™‚

  21. I love the calander idea and that price matches most in the shops now because it’s about Β£15.
I’d love to see what it would look like, and hey I’m looking for one, just need to work on the fella first hehe πŸ™‚
