Please meet Emma, she is the owner of Kitsch-tique, a wonderfully colourful jewellery line!  She is a one woman business and does everything from designing the jewellery to posting out your orders.  She graduated from university in 2005, with a BA in Retail Marketing. Emma fell into making jewellery as a hobby and when her bedroom became over-run with jewellery she started selling on Ebay. This led to my own website and most recently, her colourful little corner of Etsy!  All the products at Kitsch-tique are limited edition or one of a kind, meaning that you get to own something a little bit more special. Let’s find out more:

Hello Guest Giveaway lovely! Please tell us a little bit about you , who are you, where you’re from!??
My name is Emma, I’m 27 years old and I live in Lincolnshire. I’ve been running Kitsch-tique since 2006 and before that I studied Retail Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Tell us about what you make & your inspiration?
I make lots of very colourful jewellery and accessories! I get inspiration for all over the place. I tend to create things by accident and never go about the design process with any type of plan. I just sit staring at a pile of charms, buttons and beads until inspiration strikes! I’ve always enjoyed making things, since my Nan taught me to knit when I was young.

What is your favourite item to make/sell ?
My favourite thing to make is the Bright Button Necklace. I’m a self confessed button addict so I love looking at all the lovely colourful buttons and deciding on which ones should sit next to each other.

Do you have any favourite Etsy items you’ve bought?
Well I’m the proud owner of lots of Gorjuss prints – I’ve got no wall space left! Other than that I always buy my cards from StoreyShop –http://www.etsy.com/shop/Storeyshop – amazing cards!

Whats the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Treat people how you’d like to be treated yourself. I use this when providing a service to my customers!
