Friday McNite McGiveAway

Friday night is upon us again, and after spending some time in hospital with Suzanne, I find that time has indeed jumped in a jeep and sped off leaving me later than usual… so I figured Late Night will be the theme for tonights giveaway..
Suzy was standing today for the first time and it was a very positive experience for her, sadly after her bad night last night and sickness from being inverted… she wont be out today and may return to us tomorrow. She is however doing well.

So tonights prize is $21 gift certificate..

    My best excuse for being late was about 15 years ago. I was a school teacher and was late because I wanted students, halls, building quiet so that I could go and tell my boss I quit.

    Im very rarely late for anything! I think i would just blame it on the hubby!!.. HEHE

    well my excuse these days are my 5month old doughter, seems like she’s always wanting food or new diaper or somthing when were suposed to leave.. if that’s a good or a bad excuse I don’t know..

    My worst excuse .
    is either being too tired or having a head cold.sinus infection, or my sites malfunctioning .lol

    hmm id have to say my best/worse excuse for being late would be “sorry my tire was flat had to pump it with the air pump and omg its just so slow””20 mins for 1 tire” hehe yes thats my fav excuse 😀

    Thanks for the heads up on Suzanne, I hope she’s well enough to come home tomorrow.

    As for an excuse for being late….I’m a stickler for arriving on time, it was something my parents dinned into me as a child! But I was once late meeting a friend and the excuse was that there was an accident on the way and I had to wait for the air ambulance to arrive and take the driver to hospital. But it wasn’t an excuse, it was the truth.

    I am usually not late. Actually I have a hard time not being really early. I was late a few times when I worked the overnight shift, the alarm never went off.

    I can’t be late cos my boss picks me up for work :/ but if i had to use and excuse it would probably be that i set the jelly instead of the alarm :o)

    I am late for most things..I think people would worry if I arrived early for something lol.
    I tell the truth though when I do eventually arrive. and that is By the time I finished sorting Everyone out at home (Hubby and children.) then had to get ready myself it leaves me running late and then the bus didn’t turn up or the traffic was bad.

    LOL the best excuse is when I was about to leave for work for a factory I worked at and the boyfriend got frisky! I was about 30 minutes late and told them I had some car trouble!

    I was almost late the other day because I let the dog out into the back garden and then couldn’t find her. I thought she must have escapes somehow even though it’s fenced all round but she was hiding in the bushes. My boss has dogs so I’m sure she would have accepted that excuse!

    My worst excuse on being late for work (which I try to NEVER BE LATE) would be I had to wait til coffee finished making so I could bring my caffeine fix, rofl.

    I hate being late! If I am late for something it will definitely be the hubby’s fault, he will be late for his own funeral!

    I’m late for work sometimes because I have the check the forums in the morning. I tell my hubby I’m checking my email. So far he thinks I get a ton of email. And one morning I logged into an online game before work, well more than one.

    I don’t wait for coffee, Janeann, I set it on a timer the night before. 🙂

    My friend has me convinced not to make up grand lies about being late because it was her American Indian Grandmother’s belief that if you told that lie, that it would actually happen to you. So if you say you had a flat tire and really didn’t, that it would happen soon enough. So, I just blame it on getting my girls out the door for school. Who is the parent anyway? LOL.

    We’ll it’s hard for me to be late for my current job since I work across the street.

    However on prior occasions…. The driveway was so icy I couldn’t get out of the drive till i spread salt all over it. (I live in Canada, winters can be murder!!)

    Just today I was lateish to work mostly because I didn’t want to eat breakfast by myself so I waited for my family to wake up. I blamed my lateishness on the tree branch that got stuck under my car that I had to get out. However, there was really a tree branch, and I really might’ve made it when I intended to if there hadn’t.

    my besst excuse would be my kids they are always dawdling about I have to start getting them ready an hour before we actually leave or we would never get any where on time!!

    Hmmm let’s see I have a terrible fear of spiders and once I was late due to a large one hanging over my steering wheel which I couldn’t motivate to leave. Yes I’m that afraid I wouldn’t get in the car…..lol

    Years back a friend and i were late for school (too much chatting and dawdling) and we used the excuse that the dog followed us to school and we had to take it back home.(By the way neither of us owned a dog!)

    Nowadays if we are late for an appointment hubby is always to blame.Honestly he is lastminute.com for sure.

    My worst excuse is that my little wisp of hair just won’t cooperate with me no matter how many times I take it down & re-twist it & clip it………it’s an “updo” requested by my hubby who insists that it makes my face look less FAT….LOL……whatever! LOL

    anywho………..that’s my story & I’m sticking to it. LOL

    my best excuse for being late was when there was a bad ice storm and I slid all over trying to get to work so I was about an hour late!

    Since I don’t own a car I couldn’t use the car trouble excuse. For years I went to work on my bicycle.

    “My bike wouldn’t start this morning” was used once or twice 😉
