The Gorjuss Awards – Week 1

Yay, that’s right, the gorjuss awarrrrds, bigger than the Oscars ( okay well maybe that’s not quite true!) ..  and as much fun as the Brits ( minus a few drunken rockers!) .. Mr G has dusted of the old Tux and and I’ve added a few glamourous sequins to my stripey socks for the occasion.. unlike the aforementioned annual award shows, ours are gonna be EVERY week! Yes.. every single week.. we’re gonna reward you all for playing the challenges in the Just Gorjuss group, and showcase all your designs right here in the blog!

We’ll be having awards for tagger’s in the following challenges:

Grab bag, Tut Challenge, Template Challenge, Scrap Challenge, Font Challenge, Mask Challenge, Picture Challenge, Frame Challenge, Animation Challenge, Quick Page Challenge, Stamper Challenge. Note the challenges will run in the Just Gorjuss forum and out of all the challenges in the week we will select the best 10 winners, and show their work on the award blog. Out of the picked 10 one will be selected the overall winner of the week and win a prize. The prize may change from week to week so taking part in as many challenges you can will only help your chance to win.

All entries must be abiding to the rules of each separate challenge, and you cant enter the same tag in more than one challenge at a time! ..  entries will be judged by Myself, Mr G, Sandy and Mea ( the JG admins.)every week, and they will be judged on how well the tag suitsand uses the rules of each challenge ( for example in the Grab bag challenge, how well you used the pieces FROM the grab bag!) as well as how gorjuss the tag is! .. this keeps it fair and even for all and even newbies will stand a great chance of winning!

All entries show be ‘snags’ and we’ll be showing them off for people to see and er.. ‘snag’ 🙂

For rubber stampers:

We know you love making gorjuss things too.. and we want to see them! So read the challenge theme and make a card that fits, scan it and show it to us.. If its the best of that challenge.. you will appear in the blog Award Ceremony on the following Sunday and possibly win that prize..

So you make gorjuss tutorials of how to make the best gorjuss tags? Well we plan to run a 4 weekly competition to pick the best tuts. Every 4 weeks we will pick 4 winning tutorials from the entries. These 4 tuts will then be used as the weekly TUT Challenge. When we announce the winner of the Tut Challenge we will also anounce and promote the tut writer. So show us your tutorials, share them in the Just Gorjuss group and let us show your hard work to the world.New Challenges

While Just Gorjuss is our officially run group we know there are a lot of groups out there running weekly competitions and having lots and lots of fun…
We would love to feature you in our blog, so if you have winners of competitions you want to share, or even amazing stories… then write your article about the event and the winner and send it to “grant@gorjuss.co.uk”. We will pick 1 or 2 of these per week to feature in the blog during the week.. as time goes on and we figure out the demand we may extend the selections etc…
So show off what your group does in our blog, and let us share in all the wonderful things going on out there…

Well thats the scene set………… as another competition says “you got to be in it to win it…” that is certainly true but I’d rather say “you gotta make it to make it..” which I feel is more appropriate.
